Miss Cynthia Quarcoo the founder of Africa1 Media is an experienced banking & finance lawyer with an in-depth understanding of the African legal and business landscape. Many of her clients operate in emerging markets, including Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
As the founding partner of two Ghanaian legal firms and an experienced in-house lawyer to a number of international companies, Cynthia has a developed sensitivity to the unique cultural and political challenges across different countries. An expert in advising firms that are setting up in emerging markets; she has a deep knowledge of international trade, business, and intellectual property, corporate and commercial law. Her experience ranges from establishing businesses and consultancies, to working with multinational firms conducting cross-border mergers, acquisitions, financing and re- financing.
Cynthia is recognized as the first lawyer to establish a dedicated Entertainment, Sports and Media Practice within her law firm in Ghana and continues to represent creative and sporting talent in Ghana. Her client list is comprised of a “who’s who” of top performing talent in Africa. She has acted as the legal advisor to the Musicians Union of Ghana, a pro bono role she held for two years.
Cynthia set up Africa 1 Media specifically to help realize the dreams and ambitions of talented and driven aspiring Africans. The aim of Africa 1 Media is to build the commercial value of its clients businesses to help them reach the widest audience for the highest rewards.
